2017 Summer Reading

Kickoff is Sunday, June 4th @ 2:30 PM


Professor Steve will entertain with his amazing collection of inventions, all of which help to “Build a Better World”. Learn about six classical simple machines (wedge, wheel, lever, inclined plane, screw and pulley) and inventors that used them to make awesome inventions. In addition, Professor Steve will teach all about the importance of recycling with his Amazing Time Machine. Lots of science, lots of interaction and lots of fun for all ages. Professor Steve’s 45 minute show begins at 2:30pm. Following the show, sign up for the 2017 summer reading program ‘Build a Better World”.

The whole community is invited to participate in DPL’s summer reading program! This year’s theme is “Build a Better World.” We’re focusing on ways to make the world a better place for everyone.

  • Adults (18+) are encouraged to sign up with Adult Services.
  • Teens (grades 7-12) can sign up in Youth Services.
  • Kids (birth – grade 6) will also sign up in Youth Services.
