Construction Update: Adult Services
If you’ve visited the library in the past few weeks, you will have noticed some big changes in the Adult Services Department. The non-fiction books, audio books, archived magazines and reference are now against the far east wall. They are sitting on the new carpeting that was laid last week. They are still unavailable for check-out.
Last week, the library staff cleared out the desk area in front of Adult Services, including patron computers. In addition to public computer usage not being available, even the “quick print” is no longer available. Adult Services also no longer has a reference computer to help patrons with holds, so holds will have to be done by through your online account, at the Circulation Desk, or at the Youth Services Desk.
There are no Quiet Rooms available for public use until the Adult Services phase of the construction project is completed. We apologize for any inconvenience. We suggest you visit any of the other libraries in the county if you require the use of a private place.
Our faxing and scanning services are going to be unreliable. Alternatives to our faxing services include Clayton Library, Wilson Printing on Main Street (next to the Republican), and Kroger. Wilson Printing can do “short” faxes (not multiple pages) for a $1.00 per page. Kroger also do faxes for $1.00 per page.
