We have some exciting events planned in November!
Our Friends of the Library (FOL) will be meeting on Wednesday, November 9 at 10 AM for Coffee Klatch volunteers. New members are always welcome! This once a month meeting allows the volunteers to complete tasks for the library and discuss upcoming events.
The Indiana Room is hosting its monthly Genealogy Nuts meeting on Monday, November 14 from 1:30 – 3:30 PM. The Nuts are a group that wants to learn about how to do research in their quest to locate their ancestors who worked very hard to be invisible in the census records and vital records. They do take some research trips to libraries out of town.
The “A Book and A Meal” book club meets on Thursday, November 17 from 11:30 AM – 1 PM. November’s book is Shakespeare Saved My Life: Ten Years in Solitary with the Bard by Laura Bates. The club will be enjoying a light lunch while discussing this book. They will be meeting at West Bridge Church located at 1521 S. County Rd. 75 West in Danville. Copies of the book are available at the Circulation Desk.
Make It/Take It…2016 is a crafting program for adults on Thursday, November 10 from 2 – 4 PM. Participants will be making gifts for Christmas. They include a scarf, a decorative fairy wand for the garden, and Christmas ornament. Registration is required, and there will be a $5.00 charge due on the day of the event. Click here to register.
Looking for a place to hang out and have fun with your friends or family? Read, learn, play during International Games Day @ your library. On Saturday, November 19th from 11 AM – 4 PM, we will host special game programs to celebrate our national love of games. This is a family friendly, all ages event.
