Celebrate the Bicentennial at Danville Public Library

The Danville Public Library is continuing our bicentennial monthly programs with a program on Abraham Lincoln and Nancy Hanks. The program will be February 27 at 10:00 a.m. in the program room at the library. Click here for a printable poster.

President Lincoln’s Interesting Parents and Ancestors

Abraham Lincoln was born in Kentucky, raised in Indiana, lived in Illinois, and had deep roots in colonial New England. Nancy Hanks was born in Virginia, lived in Kentucky and Indiana. Information about Nancy’s family was controversial until recently when modern technology provided a solution. This presentation will provide information about the families and the time in which they lived.
